The baby is as heavy as four navel oranges (19 in, 3.9 lbs)
I've been feeling like we have so much to do and such little time. I can't believe we're less than 9 weeks away until D-day!
The doctor is going to release me from work in 3 weeks. So, I'll be officially off work April 1. I would love to work for as long as I can. But I don't feel like pushing my body to that limit is good either, for me or baby. Working the night shift is extremely challenging. Switching my body back and forth, being awake at night and sleeping during the day, and the opposite of my off days. I feel like I'm never rested. I can especially feel the effects now in my 3rd trimester. I body feels so beat up when I get out of bed. On top of that, I have to get up every so often to use the restroom again because of the pressure on my bladder.
Update from Physical Therapy:
Going into the pool was sooooo AWESOME!!! If I could be in the pool all day, I would! The moment you step into the pool, you feel like a big weight was just lifted from your body. I feel one with the water. LOL. I felt so light. But the moment I stepped out of the water, your feel this extreme heaviness. UGH! I haven't been back to the pool since then because of my schedule, pool days are only Mon. and Thurs. I hope I can go back again soon. But also, at $40/visit, it's burning a hole in my wallet. =(
Yesterday we went to the hospital orientation @ Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center where I will be delivering at. It was very informative, and I felt very comfortable there since I did my rotations there as a RT student. They showed us actual labor and delivery rooms, postpartum rooms, and just in case, rooms for c-sections and the nursery. If all goes smoothly, I should have my own personal suite to labor and deliver. The baby will be rooming with me 24/7. The only thing we have to figure out is who can stay with Jenalyn when I go into labor, because she can't be in the room with us when I deliver. And who she will stay with after the baby is born, because she can't stay with us in the hospital.
Still much to do and figure out:
-- Buy/Wash crib bedding
-- Buy baby's first outfit for pictures and going home
-- Pack our bags for staying @ the hospital
-- Write my birth plan
-- Wash whatever baby clothes we already have
-- Buy Glider & Ottoman for nursing
