The baby is as big as a: Eggplant (9 in, 1.7lbs)
I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and they first thing I find out is: "I've gained 4 lbs!" - in 4 weeks. Holy cow! No wonder I've been having crazy back pain. People at work have also been commenting on how big I've gotten. I thought nothing of it, just glad I was getting noticed, better than hearing how small I am. I'm now 138 lbs. This is the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I think I was 137 when I gave birth to Jenalyn. As far as my weight goes, my doctor says that it's a good thing I'm finally gaining weight and having back pain, because that means everything is progressing as it should. We finally got to hear baby's heartbeat again. That's always a reassuring sound to hear. Jenalyn was getting a bit fussy though, I don't know if it's because we were all talk about baby, and she wasn't being heard or wasn't getting attention, or if it's because she was tired. The ultrasound results were all normal. Doctor seemed happy about it. I talked to him about my paranoia of going into preterm labor again. He said there's always a possibility, but to just try to take it easy at work. Keep hydrated. And if I do feel any contractions to notify him and go to the hospital right away. I will see him again on Feb. 28.
Doctor's orders:
1) Physical Therapy - for my aching back
2) Epi-Pen - for my peanut allergies
3) 1 hr. Glucose Screening test - to check for gestational diabetes
On another note, Brian wants to paint the nursery Feb. 13. while I'm at work. How exciting! Can't wait to see what he'll do with it.
and last but not least, I think we've settled for two names: Calissa Rose Reyes or Bella Nicole Reyes
Calissa - "most beautiful"
Rose - "flower name" (my favorite flower of course)
Bella - "beautiful"
Nicole - "victorious people"
only reason why I'm not set on Bella is because of its strong association with "The Twilight Saga". Ask anyone, "What's the first thing you think of when you hear the name, Bella?" - Answer: Twilight =/ hmph!
Calissa is such a rare name. Although the name Calissa Rose sounds very similar to Missy's name. But I'm sure she'd be flattered. ;)

Hard to decide, but you guys have great taste in names.
